Welcome to a world where experience really does count, meet Ian Bailey. An exciting addition to the RSFA team, where many of his varied skills and experience cross-pollinate, and he looks forward to advising on your mortgage needs.
Having been a management and business consultant for over 30 years, Ian brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to RSFA. Ian’s background includes the establishment and management of businesses involved in financing and rental of business equipment, as well as developing start-up businesses and listing them on the NZX and/or ASX. **In fact, he presently also operates unilaterally an asset finance and related services arm to his repertoire.
He has completed a number of prospectuses and raised significant amounts of money to finance businesses as they grow, and been involved in identifying potential investors and raising capital.
He has a Certificate in Business Management from the Institute of Management in Sydney, is a member of both the New Zealand and Australian Institute of Directors (completing the Director responsibilities, Chairman role, and Governance and reporting courses), holds a Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5), is a licensed security guard, and booked as Astronaut 536 on Virgin Galactic Space flights.
Ian was one of the people who introduced EFTPOS into the New Zealand market and has subsequently developed several successful businesses in retail and business technology, including founding and then listing New Zealand’s only local manufacturer and exporter of EFTPOS terminal to international markets.
Ian had dual citizenship between New Zealand and Australia, and his 2 adult children were both born in Australia. Therefore, we have decided not to hold this against him!
Ian has a “client first philosophy”, in terms of identifying your needs and goals and then looking at what he can do to assist you in meeting those objectives.
Importantly, he “gets things done”.
**Ian operates under the RSFA FAP license and business structure and works within RSFA as a Mortgage Adviser, and commercially contracted to RSFA (being attached to the RSFA FAP per FSP #1000411). Ian also operates independently under his own company Kingbird Limited which has a wholesale FAP licence (FSP #1000364), providing business and asset finance, invoice funding and related services on a wholesale basis.
