How to join in 3 easy steps

Not a Southern Cross member yet?

    1. Check you are eligible

You can join Southern Cross, so long as:
    • you are eligible after 6 months of continuous employment
    • you are eligible for publicly funded health and disability services in New Zealand.

    2. Choose the right plan for you

Compare the available options and pick the plan that suits you and your family best.

    3. It is easy to join Southern Cross online.

We will send you a link when you become eligible for the group scheme with Southern Cross, through Agvance. Please contact Rod Schubert at rod@rsfa.co.nz, if we have not already been in touch. You should apply as soon as possible after becoming eligible to take advantage of the specified pre-existing conditions cover (you have 3 months from your eligibility date)

    4. Include your family and their pre-existing conditions

If you have family members to add, then we should add them when you sign up. They are also eligible for pre-existing conditions coverage provided they are added within 3 months of your eligibility date. Also, if you have a newborn, we can look to add them with pre-existing condition cover if added within 3 months of their birth.
